If you know a veteran who served overseas during specific wars and conflicts, they may qualify to join. To verify that the veteran qualifies a copy of the DD214 (Discharge paper) can be provided with the application to join. There are several reasons why a qualifying veteran should join,for example access to our service officers for VA assistance, updates on veteran issues, veterans continuing to serve by supporting their communities, etc. We are a family-oriented organization that provides both alcoholic and nonalcoholic drinks and food is prepared by our professional chef.

VFW Post 5118 supports our community by making donations to nonprofit organizations. Last year $135,000 was donated, including donations to Tunnels to Towers, the Talbot County Paramedic Association, supplying AEDs to our local police agencies and numerous youth programs.
